Voluntary Activities for Social & Human Advancement (VASHA) Foundation organized a skill development training program among underprivileged women was inaugurated on Saturday, 24th September, 2022 in Dewanhat area of Doublemooring thana. The organization provides free short-term vocational training to underprivileged and poor women under the Training for Skill Development (TSD) program. The Institute has already provided training to more than 3 thousand women since 2005 on sewing,embroidery, block,batik,rigging work etc. under this training. Under this ongoing program, 9600 underprivileged women will be skilled with the target of training is going on in Pahartali , Sitakundo, Kumira, Khulshi, Halishahar and Bandar area of Chattogram. The Chief Executive of the organization Parimal Kanti Paul Presided over the inaugural function of the training. He said that there is no alternative to women’s financial empowerment at present, therefore VASHA Foundation has taken this initiative with the aim of empowering women by increasing their capacity and making them self-employed. Sajeda Taslim, Raju Chowdhury, Sudipta Majumder, Vijoy kanti pal, Rezaul Karim, Nazmul huda, Jannatul ferdous, Diluara, Tanya, Md. Manik, Md. Dawlat Hossain, Mithun Das etc spoke on the occasion. Dewanhat residents expressed their gratitude to the VASHA Foundation for launching this program and they believe that this training will contribute to the social development of the area.
